Not only am I a graphic designer, but I am also a gamer, and I carry that title as a badge of honour. What we have here are posters for my four main games, starting with Hades by Supergiant Games. Hades is a game based on Greek mythology about the Prince of the Underworld trying to escape his father’s realm and find his mother. What gives the game its charm, however, is music, the fishing mini-game, and most importantly, the characters, with Prince Zagreus himself in front. Since there are many characters that we love, I have them organized with direct family above, lovers and equals in the center, and rivals and teachers beneath.

Next we have one of the most iconic moments from recent Destiny 2 history on display. Pictured is the Traveler, what the main characters of Destiny worship as it gives the power of the Light, primarily to do good against the evil in the universe. It’s seemingly abandoning Earth, but changes it’s mind and positions itself to defend Earth instead. This moment was around when I started playing Destiny, and from a lore perspective, this was the beginning of the end of the Light and Dark Saga. Overall, it’s a beautiful shot that I want on my wall.

Following, we have Marvel Rivals. As far as characters go, we have all of mine and my friends’ mains, including Invisible Woman (she’s on the poster, but we can’t see her). I designed this to look like a comic book cover, as the game is primarily based on Marvel Comics, rather than the cinematic universe. I used my friends’ mains because they’re who I play the game with and they mean a lot to me. Why wouldn’t I want a reminder of them on my wall? The background is one of the maps that you play on in-game, Tokyo 2099. As to sourcing the character images, I utilized the official fandom wiki. These are the Prestige images for the characters, and difficult to acquire in game because playing competitive to that level is several hours that you won’t ever recover. No thanks!

Finally, we have the beloved Minecraft poster. This one is the most far removed from typical posters for this game; PANTONE and Minecraft don’t necessarily have a collaboration. However, I wanted to have a “swatch” of the game I’ve played for ten years, and this view is from my modded survival world at sunset. The bees, Steve and Alex in a boat, my avatar trying to climb into the scene, and the pig with the Technoblade crown were all modeled in an animation program. Minecraft has so much reach outside of the game’s interface, it has created livelihoods and legends alike. There will never be a game quite like it, and I am glad to have loved it for so long. This poster is the perfect snapshot of what this game represents to me: Peace, awe, and love.
